先日東京の短編映画コペティションに行ってきました。海外含め550本近い応募の中から、選ばれた20本のみが上映されました。どれもよかったです。その中でも製作レベルが高く個人的に感動したものはアメリカ出身のルーカスさんとアルゼンチン出身のパブロ・パビエリさんとレティシア・クリストフさんでした。
アメリカのルーカスさんのクオリティーは完全にハリウッド映画そのものでした。現在はCM監督をされているそうで、次回作ではスタンリーキューブリック監督の「アイズ・ワイド・シャット」のプロデューサーのブライアン氏がプロデューサーに決定とのこと。
そしてアルゼンチン出身のパブロさんとレティシアさんのふたりの作品はデジタルではなく16mmフィルムを使用したそうです。この作品もまたライティング・撮影など他とは
まったく違ったハイグレード作品でした。様々なショートフィルムの賞を受賞されているそうで、現在はアニメーショーン製作にかかっているそうです。ふたりの作品は佳作に選ばれました。おめでとうございます。これからもご活躍期待しております！

The other day I attended the short movie competition in Tokyo. Among the applied 550 films including films from overseas, only 20 films were selected and screened. All were good. The films which production level were especially high and especially impressed me were directed by Mr.Lucus Howe from USA and Mr.Pablo Barbieri & Ms.Leticia Christoph from Argentina.
The quality of Mr.Lucas from USA was completely Hollywood film's itself. He is now a CM director, and Mr.Brian who was a producer on Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" is going to produce Mr.Lucus's next film.
And, Pablo and Leticia from Argentina used 16mm film instead of digital one this time. This work was another high-grade work which technique of lighting and shooting are totally different from other works. Brilliant!! They have ever won various prizes at short film festivals, and now they are beginning the Animation production. They won a prize and their film was selected as a fine work. Congratulations! Good luck on your future films!
